Summer Horse Camps
and Trail Rides
Youth Day
Camps
Summer horse camps are half day, week long
sessions for kids that are interested in learning about
horses. Kids ages 6 to 15 learn about basic horsemanship
including safety, grooming, saddling, bridling and
riding.
Each day starts out with handling the weanlings.
Thursdays are full days with an overnight camp out
including campfire and songs. Guest speakers join the
group on Thursday afternoons.

Camp kids
gently brush the foals.
Horses and foals are gentle. Foals have been imprinted
as a baby and at weanling time, the camp kids brush, pick
up feet, and teach them to lead and bathe. Camp horses
are very gentle and well trained. Kids ride several
different horses, so they can learn about the differences
between animals. Everyday, kids groom and ride. Arena
work and trail rides are offered. There are many
experienced instructors to insure the safety of
everyone.
Cost $175 per child per week
Dates: weekly from mid June to late August.
Adult Day
Camps
Adult day camps will be offered in 2000.
Two-hour sessions each evening will include safety,
grooming, saddling, bridling, and riding. A 5-day session
provides a better learning atmosphere than weekly
lessons.
Cost: $100 per adult per week
